Welcome to the Madrid Community School District
Home of the Madrid Tigers!

The Madrid District is a learning community with educational and personal growth opportunities within and beyond the school walls. Within the walls are great teachers, support staff, administrators, volunteers, and opportunities! The support within the walls is made possible from the community of Madrid through outstanding facilities, local resources, and tremendous support. Also inside those walls is individual attention focused on individual learning needs and interests. While attending the Madrid District, students not only have access to an excellent education, there is also access to extra- curricular activities in the areas of academics, athletics, and fine arts. Additionally, there are a number of community service opportunities in which Madrid students can participate.

Opportunity outside of the traditional school walls include Post Secondary Enrollment classes and internet classes where students can earn post-secondary or university credit while also earning Madrid credit.  Just a short drive from the Madrid District are Ames, the Des Moines Metro, Iowa State University, Des Moines Area Community College, and various other educational institutions and many other educational-rich attractions which central Iowa has to offer. Madrid’s location extends to its students the best of both worlds--the personal, local community opportunities for students, combined with access to larger-world community opportunities, options, and resources.

But the thing that most people notice when they come to the community of Madrid and visit the Madrid Community School District, is that this is truly “Tiger Town.” This can probably be best summed up in the mission statement of the Madrid Community School District, which was developed by both the community and the district. The mission states, “The Community of Madrid will work together to maximize the ability of all students to succeed in society.” This mission makes Madrid a very unique place where everyone is interested in the success of our young people and everyone understands, and takes part in, this mission. So again, welcome to the Madrid Community School District!
