Online registration for the 2017-18 school year is now available. Information is located at www.madrid.k12.ia.us. To start the process, go to the Schools tab on the home page and scroll down to 17-18 Registration Materials. A school board election is planned for September 12, 2017. Two seats are available. The first day to file nomination papers with Kris Van Pelt, Board Secretary, is on July 10, 2017. The last day to file is August 3, 2017 by 5:00 p.m. Interested candidates should visit https://sos.iowa.gov/elections/candidates/index.html for a candidate’s guide by the Iowa Secretary of State, or from the administration office located at 201 N. Main Street, Madrid, Iowa 50156, Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 3:30pm.
