Home School Assistance Program

Madrid Home School Assistance Program

The Madrid Home School Assistance program (HSAP) offers assistance to families to be in compliance with state legal requirements for the Competent Private Instruction Form A option. Parents remain the primary educator, but are able to access school district programs.

Families are provided with a licensed supervising teacher who is employed by Madrid School District.  As part of a HSAP, families will have four contacts per quarter with the supervising teacher including several face to face meetings.  The supervising teacher will support families through curriculum guidance, provide educational materials from our homeschool resource room and share personalized teaching strategies.  Students are also able to take part in HSAP enrichment programming such as Homeschool Art, PE and group learning experiences.

Additional Options include:

  • Dual enrollment for any grade level students to attend classes or extracurricular activities
  • Concurrent enrollment to earn college credit in high school (Ex. DMACC)
  • Standardized testing options

To get more information on homeschooling options in the Madrid School District, please contact the Home School Director/Lead Teacher, Laura Van Roekel [email protected].  The open enrollment deadline closes annually on March 1 for the upcoming school year.
