Designated Level I investigators for the K-12 grades are Kristen Newell (515-795-3240) option 1 or 2 and Justin Johnson (515-795-3240) option 2. The Level II investigator is the local law enforcement (515-795-3113)
In a continuing effort to create the safest environment possible, the Madrid District may work with law enforcement to utilize drug dogs to check the buildings, lockers, parking lots, and any other district grounds at any time without any sort of prior notice. Please direct any questions you may have about this to the Superintendent at (515) 795-3240 extension 3.
 
If you believe you are homeless, or know of a child that is homeless (definition of homeless is provided in the linked policy), please contact the district homeless liaison, Kristen Newell, at the Madrid District. To contact her email [email protected] or call (515) 795-3240 and ask to speak with her.
If your child is enrolling at Madrid for the first time, please provide an immunization record, proof of age, and a copy of a recent physical exam, if you have not already done so. If your child is transferring from another district, this information should be in the child’s records.

Effective with the 2017-18 school year, all students entering 7th grade and born after September 15, 2004, must receive one dose of meningococcal (A, C, W, Y) vaccine; 12th grade students born after September 15, 1999 must receive two doses of the meningococcal (A, C, W, Y) vaccine, or one dose if received when students are 16 years of age or older. If you need assistance in meeting this requirement or have questions, please contact the school nurse.
The Madrid Community School District Board of Directors has authorized the use of recording devices on school district owned property.  The recording devices will be used to enhance safety and security within the educational environment.  Students, employees, and parents are hereby notified that the content of the recording may be used in a student or employee disciplinary proceeding.  The content of the recordings may be considered confidential student records and will be retained with other student records.  Recordings will only be retained if necessary for use in a student or employee disciplinary proceeding or other matter as determined necessary by the administration.  Parents may request to view the recording of their child.
